About Helena

If you’ve found your way here, there’s a good chance you’re trying to answer two questions.

The first is whether I really understand what you’re struggling with. The second is whether I’m someone you could trust to help you change it.

Those questions probably matter far more than where I trained or how many qualifications I have. What matters most is understanding how I see the work I do, and why I approach it in the way I do.

My Story

An unexpected route into this work

Before becoming a Subconscious Pattern Change Specialist, I spent more than twenty-five years working in accountancy, taxation and professional training.

It might seem like an unusual route into this work, but looking back, I can see that my curiosity about people was always there.

I enjoyed solving technical problems, but I was equally fascinated by how two people with similar knowledge, experience and opportunities could respond completely differently under pressure.

One person might quietly get on with it. Another might lose sleep for days, despite being every bit as capable.

That curiosity eventually led me into studying hypnotherapy, subconscious change and the psychology of lasting change.

The more I learned, the more those two worlds came together.

Whether someone wanted to overcome anxiety, become more confident, stop overthinking, perform better at work or simply enjoy life more, the same principle kept appearing:

We aren’t defined by the patterns we carry, and we certainly aren’t condemned to keep repeating them forever.

My Approach

It’s easy to focus on surface-level solutions.

“Try harder.”
“Think more positively.”
“Be more confident.”
“Stop worrying.”

But if those things were enough, you probably wouldn’t still be dealing with the issue.

My work focuses on understanding the subconscious pattern behind the thoughts, feelings or behaviours you want to change.

Together, we explore why that response made sense in the first place, why it is still running today and what needs to change so that your mind can respond differently.

The aim isn’t to turn you into somebody else.

It’s to help remove what has been stopping you feeling more like yourself.

What Matters to Me

Honesty

If I believe I can help, I’ll tell you. If I don’t think I’m the right person, I’ll tell you that as well. I’d much rather you found the support that is right for you than became a client for the wrong reasons.

Curiosity

I don’t believe people need to be judged for the patterns they carry. I’m much more interested in becoming curious about why those patterns developed and what the mind was originally trying to achieve.

Lasting Change

The aim isn’t simply to help you manage something a little better. Where possible, I want us to understand and change the pattern itself, so that a different response can begin to feel natural.

Qualifications & Professional Background

My background combines more than twenty-five years of commercial and professional experience with extensive training in subconscious change.

My qualifications and professional development include:

  • ACCA qualified
  • CIOT qualified
  • Registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register
  • Training in hypnotherapy and subconscious change
  • NLP
  • Parts Therapy
  • Personal and Business Coaching
  • Control

Ongoing professional development in psychology and lasting change

Those qualifications matter because they demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to high standards.

But I don’t believe qualifications alone are what make someone good at this work.

The relationship between practitioner and client matters too.

You need to feel listened to, understood and comfortable enough to be honest about what has really been happening.

The Person Behind the Work

People often describe me as calm, straightforward and easy to talk to.

I hope that comes from genuinely wanting to understand the person in front of me rather than trying to fit everyone into the same process.

My background has always made me naturally curious about how people think, why we respond differently to pressure and what allows one person to move forward while another feels stuck.

That curiosity is still at the heart of the work I do today.

Perhaps the best place to start is a Clarity Call.

A relaxed 45-minute conversation to explore what’s getting in the way, and how we might work together to create real, lasting change.
