You already know what you want to do. So why does something keep getting in the way?
If you’re anything like many of the people who eventually find their way here, you’ve probably spent quite a bit of time trying to work yourself out.
You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts and promised yourself that next Monday, next month or after the next holiday things will somehow feel different. You’ve had long conversations with yourself, usually while driving, walking the dog or lying awake at two o’clock in the morning when your brain has apparently decided that’s the perfect time to review every conversation you’ve had since 1998.
You probably know exactly what you should be doing.
The difficulty isn’t a lack of knowledge. It isn’t because you’re lazy or unmotivated, and it certainly isn’t because you’re not capable. Most of the people I work with are incredibly capable. They’re the people everyone else assumes have everything under control.
It just doesn’t always feel like that on the inside.
Perhaps anxiety appears whenever something really matters. Maybe your confidence disappears at exactly the wrong moment, only to return again once it’s all over, which is about as useful as remembering your umbrella after you’ve walked home in the rain.
Or perhaps you simply feel exhausted by your own thinking.
Not because you’re doing anything wrong.
Just because your mind never seems to know when it’s time to call it a day.
If any of that sounds familiar, I’d like to reassure you of one thing.
When people first get in touch, they often tell me they’ve tried almost everything.
Some have spent years trying to think differently. Others have learned ways to manage anxiety, challenge negative thoughts or build confidence. Many of those approaches are genuinely helpful, and sometimes they make a real difference.
But every now and then someone says something that always catches my attention.
It’s such an honest question.
Understanding is important, but understanding and change aren’t quite the same thing.
If they were, none of us would ever eat the second biscuit, check our emails when we promised ourselves we wouldn’t, or replay awkward conversations in our heads several hours after everyone else has completely forgotten they even happened.
Human beings are wonderfully irrational sometimes.
The interesting part is discovering why.
Over the years I’ve come to believe that people are not their patterns.
Most subconscious patterns begin with good intentions. At some point they were trying to protect us, help us or prepare us for something important. The difficulty is that our lives continue to evolve while those old patterns often carry on doing exactly the same job they learned years before.
So rather than asking what’s wrong with you, I’m much more interested in understanding what your mind has been trying to achieve all this time.
Once we understand that, change often feels surprisingly natural.
Not because you’re trying harder.
Because you’re finally working with your mind instead of arguing with it.
I spent more than twenty-five years in accountancy, taxation and professional training, working with ambitious people in high-pressure environments.
That experience, and my deep understanding of how the subconscious mind works, led me to become a Subconscious Pattern Change Specialist.
Today, I help driven professionals and business owners break free from what’s holding them back so they can move forward with confidence, clarity and impact.
Although everyone’s story is unique, the patterns themselves are often surprisingly familiar.
Some people come because anxiety has gradually become part of everyday life. Others want to feel more confident at work, stop overthinking every decision or finally move beyond the self-doubt that’s been following them around for years. Some arrive because an important exam, presentation or career opportunity has highlighted a pattern they simply don’t want to carry any further.
Whatever brings you here, the aim isn’t to teach you how to become someone else.
It’s to help remove what’s been stopping you feeling more like yourself.
